Email Deliverability Improvements (Yapi Classic)

We've released an update to improve email deliverability for emails sent through Yapi Classic.

What's Improved?

We identified and resolved an issue that could cause certain emails sent through Yapi Classic to be delivered to a recipient's Spam folder instead of their Inbox.

This update improves how these emails are authenticated with email providers, helping them recognize Yapi emails as trusted and increasing the likelihood that messages are delivered directly to the inbox.

What Emails Were Affected?

The improvement applies to:

  • Administrative emails
  • Emails sent from Writer screens
  • Individual patient emails sent using Yapi Classic's default email service

Note: Email campaigns (Mail Blasts) were not affected by this issue.

What to Expect

Most practices should see improved inbox delivery immediately. However, because many email providers learn filtering behavior on a per-recipient basis, some patients whose emails were previously routed to spam may continue to see new messages delivered there for a short period.

If a patient reports that an email is still being delivered to their Spam folder:

  1. Ask them to mark the email as "Not Spam."
  2. Have them move the message into their Inbox.

This helps retrain their email provider's spam filter. Depending on the provider, it may take a few additional emails before future messages are consistently delivered to the inbox automatically.

As always, if you continue to experience email delivery issues after this update, please contact the Yapi Support team for assistance.
