There is an unnecessary human effort involved in manually sorting ipad forms into patients document centers. Specifically, the point at which each form is sorted into the document center by clicking the ok button on a popup that indicated which subfolder it will be sorted to. Given that the end user input is clicking on a button in YAPI, and not doing anything related to the PMS, there is no reason why this can't be automated on the backend from a software standpoint.
The feature I'm requesting, explicitly, is an option for ipad/online forms to automatically be filed in the pre-indicated subfolder of the document center without additional oversight from the end user.
The value for the end user is greater flexibility for front desk staff who no longer have to stop using their workstation for the 10-30 seconds it takes for Yapi to process the document into the PMS. This processing should occur on either a designated (low staff usage) workstation or the server.
This is especially critical for documents that will need active use in the operatories, like medical history forms.
The value for the YAPI team is less training is needed across dental office staff in order to accomplish similar tasks. In the example just given, medical history, back office staff could simply view the form in YAPI if it hadn't been sorted into the PMS yet, but getting all clinical team members to the same level of technical fluidity is required for this.
